Liza Artamonova and Ilina Chervonnaya
Liza Artamonova / b. 1988 in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow State University of Printing Arts (2012) and the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Art (2016), participated in the Exchange Program for artists at Goldsmiths University of London (2016). Works with site-specific installations, video, graphic arts and photo. Liza appeals to questions about border of privacy, escapist practices, neuroses and syndromes of post information society.
Selected exhibitions include Something has gone wrong at Solyanka VPA, Moscow (2017); Between the lines at Grad Gallery, London (2016); Rituals of sincerity at Mayakovsky’s Centre of Art and Music, Saint Petersburg (2016); Horizons of Events, parallel program of the 6th Moscow Biennale (2015). Winner of the Brewhowse Art Prize 2016 in nomination “environment”.
Ilina Сhervonnaya / b.1983 in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Art (2016), participated in the Exchange Program for artists at Goldsmiths University of London (2016). Works with video, installations, sculpture and sound. The subject of current interest are constructed apoliticality and increased suggestibility, distortion and reinterpretation of perception, reproduction of memories, reconstruction of secondary reality.
